Formentera
Formentera is the smallest island in size in the Balearic Islands located in the South of Ibiza, another island about 3,5 km away. Formentera consists of one only municipality which includes the islands of Espalmador and Espardell. It is an island with little relief excelling in the beauty of its coast with crystalline water and the cliffs situated in the area called La Mola. The vegetation of the island is of the Mediterranean kind combined with dunes and woods of pine trees, sabina and scrub.
The only acces available to get it is by the sea. In the high season there are scheduled connections with Ibiza every 30 minutes.
Formentera is an island in which tourism and respect for environment have fitted in wisely. The best way to move around the island is by motorbike or bicycle, being possible to rent them in any city centre of the island.
