How to arrive at Cales Morts
How to arrive at Cales Morts
From Es Mercadal
It is preferable to access El Mercadal from the easternmost roundabout, from the first we find from Mahón, as at these roundabouts we will see signs to the 'playas' (beaches). Just surround Es Mercadal on the East side, by the roundabouts, until you reach Camí de Tramontana.
Camí de Tramontana
We will follow the paved road; at the intersections we will see signs to the different northern beaches. In our case, we will continue towards Binimel.la.
Detour towards Pegonda or Binimel.la
We will get to a detour, a very wide gravel road with signs indicating "Pregonda and Platja de Binimel.la". After 1.5km we will reach a restaurant which is near Binimel.la where there is space for half a hundred cars on the road verges.
Camí de Cavalls
Once the car is parked, we must head to the beach of Binimel.la along a path that goes through a wetland formed after the beach; continue along Camí de Cavalls to the left to the west. There's about a 5-minute walk between Binimel.la and Cales Morts.
